Mormon (LDS) Visitors Center, Independence,
Missouri Mural and Painting Restoration
Blagbrough Galleries, Inc., was hired to perform a cleaning
and restoration on a mural and a painting at the LDS Visitors
Center in Independence, Missouri in 1996. The restoration was
completed in 1997. The mural was 30 feet high, and 20 feet
wide, and painted onto a curvilinear wall at the entrance to the
facility. Scaffolding was erected during the restoration. An oil
painting of Joseph Smith, located on the backside of the wall
was also cleaned and restored.
