Holy Trinity Iconastisis Restoration
The Holy Trinity Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church was
established in 1909. It is one of the oldest and largest Serbian
Eastern Orthodox churches west of the Mississippi River.
The restoration took over a month. Temporary ladders and
scaffolding were erected during the day, and taken down so as
to not interrupt church services.
The smoke from incensors and candles had taken their toll,
along with indoor pollution. The old varnish had to be removed.
The restoration was successful. Several life-long parishioners
remarked that they noticed features in the iconastisis they had
never seen before.
